Check out the free fireworks at Mel Lastman Square; festivities begin at 5:00 p.m.

Canadian Reggae Sunfest

For a special Toronto Canada Day 2019 celebration, why not hit the water? Going for a cruise of Toronto’s harbour is a fun and unique way to celebrate Canada’s birthday. Several companies offer special Canada Day cruises, like Mariposa Cruises and Pioneer Cruises.

Albion Hills Conservation Area

If you’ve got the time and inclination to head a little out of town for your Canada Day celebrations this year, consider Albion Hills Conservation Area, located just outside of Toronto in Caledon. It's worth the drive, as you can participate in archery lessons, tractor rides and wood carving demonstrations. There are a splash pad and swimming pool that the kids will love, as well as a hearty selection of food trucks for your refreshment and plenty of hiking trails around the park. The event ends with more Canada Day fireworks.

Black Creek Pioneer Village

Canada has 152 years of history to look back upon. Do you wonder what it was like for Canadians back in 1867? Participate in the “Party Like it is 1867” event at Black Creek Pioneer Village in North York. There will be musicians, theatrical performances and carnival games. There are hands-on exhibits to learn about what life was like in 1867. There is also a citizenship ceremony for new Canadians. Admission is free (there is a small charge for parking).
